2020 Grant Awards Power the Library
The Friends of the Albert Carlton-Cashiers Community is grateful to the foundations, clubs and charities who make grants and awards to support the library. They include:
Cullasaja Women’s Outreach, which made it possible for the library to get a significant number of e-resources, like e-Books, audiobooks and digital periodicals, and new video content which the library offers to patrons via its video streaming service, Kanopy.
The Cedar Creek Club Charitable Fund, whose donation enabled the library to acquire quality books, and periodicals dedicated to children and young adult readers in both English and Spanish.
The Highlands-Cashiers Health Foundation, whose grant provided resources to revitalize the library’s juvenile section, which is typically used by those between the age of 8 and 18, and opens doors for important life choices.
The Church of the Good Shepherd, whose financial support revitalized the juvenile section in the library, and enabled the library to purchase new children’s books.
The Wade Hampton Golf Club Foundation, whose contribution enabled the library to increase video streaming content, and to replace an outdated network internet switches with new ones. As a result, the library can continue to provide free internet service to patrons.
